Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 slices of bread (your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Mixture:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon as it browns.
Add diced onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the onions soften.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich:
Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered side of one slice, place a slice of cheddar cheese.
Spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly on top of the cheese. Add another slice of cheese and top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  3. Grill the Sandwich:
Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet. Grill for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese has melted.
  4. Serve:
Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and serve warm.
