Description

Honey Glazed Salmon is a delightful combination of tender, flaky salmon and a luscious glaze made with honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. This dish is simple to prepare yet impressive, making it ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions. The balance of sweet and savory flavors creates a caramelized glaze that enhances the salmon’s natural richness. Serve it with roasted vegetables, salad, or rice for a complete and healthy meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless, about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley, lemon slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger to create the glaze.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the salmon fillets skin-side down (if using skin-on) for 2-3 minutes or until golden.
  5. Flip the salmon and cook for another 2 minutes. Then pour the honey glaze over the fillets.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 7-10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven, spoon the glaze from the pan over the salmon, and garnish with parsley or lemon slices if desired.
