Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, water, garlic, ginger, and gochujang. Pour the mixture over the browned chicken.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  4. Drizzle sesame oil over the dish and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and green onions. Serve warm.
