Description

Make your party pop with these fun and fizzy Pop Rocks Jello Shots! This easy recipe combines flavored vodka, Jello, and a crackling Pop Rocks topping for a nostalgic, crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flavored vodka
(Strawberry or blue raspberry vodka works best, but you can use any fun flavor.)

  • 1 cup boiling water
(Make sure it’s boiling so it dissolves the gelatin properly.)

  • 1 (3 oz) package of flavored Jello
(Pick a Jello flavor that matches your vodka — e.g., strawberry Jello with strawberry vodka.)

  • 1 cup cold water

  • 2-3 packets of Pop Rocks candy
(Cherry, watermelon, or blue raspberry all work great.)

  • Shot glasses or small plastic cups
(Disposable plastic shot cups are easiest for serving.)

Instructions

Step 1: Dissolve the Jello

Start by boiling 1 cup of water. In a large mixing bowl, pour the Jello powder in and add the boiling water. Stir thoroughly for about 2 minutes, or until the gelatin is completely dissolved.

Step 2: Add the Cold Water and Vodka

Once the Jello is dissolved, add 1 cup of cold water and 1 cup of flavored vodka. Stir well to ensure the mixture is evenly combined.

Step 3: Pour Into Cups

Carefully pour the mixture into your shot glasses or small plastic cups, filling each about ¾ full to allow room for the Pop Rocks topping.

Step 4: Chill Until Set

Place the cups in the refrigerator and let them set for at least 4 hours. Overnight is even better to ensure a firm texture.

Step 5: Add Pop Rocks and Serve

Right before serving (and we mean right before), sprinkle a generous amount of Pop Rocks on top of each shot. Serve immediately for the best crackling effect!
